Som Visao is Vancouver's only 3D 4D ultrasound center and spa.  While our 3D 4D ultrasound services are just for Mom's to be we offer a full range of contouring and hair removal services for those not expecting (including men).

The name

The name Som Visao (som viz-ay-oh) translates to English as “sound vision” representing the 3D/4D ultrasound service the centre offers.  Expecting mothers and families can see their unborn baby in amazing detail through 3D 4D ultrasound.

Who do you cater to?

This question has created some curiosity over the years – When Som Visao first opened we were considered to be a ‘maternity spa’ by several of our clients and through the press we received.  Many were unaware that the 3d/4d ultrasound was offered only to expectant mothers but that the spa had something to offer anyone (including men) seeking restoration, relaxation, and rejuvenation.  Today, we consider ourselves to be a “fusion spa” in that we combine a selection of maternity offerings, medi-spa offerings, and traditional spa services.

Medispa focus

Som Visao is pleased to offer a menu of specialized medispa services for all of our nonpregnant guests.  We focus on LipoLaser fat reduction, Endermology,  and medical grade laser hair removal.  We’ve recently started to offer combination Endermology, an FDA approved technology that targets cellulite and hard-to-reach fat (used by Angelina Jolie) and LipoLaser packages with our infrared sauna.  These treatments help our guests to achieve their contouring goals by serving as an adjunct to a healthy lifestyle.  Check out our LipoLaser section if you’re interested in learning more about this service.

Maternity focus

Som Visao’s maternity offerings are offered to those in the childbearing years (those considering pregnancy, expecting moms, and new moms).  For those thinking of becoming pregnant we suggest CelluTherapy and traditional spa treatments as ways to relax the mind and to feel a remarkable difference in the sensation of the skin (through our body treatments, customized facials, and nonsurgical contouring).  For those who are pregnant, we offer 3D/4D ultrasound as a way to connect with your unborn baby.  We also offer a full line of maternity spa treatments using products that are safe for pregnancy.  Many of our guests enjoy a prenatal massage from Carrie Smith, or in-house RMT who has over 6,000 hours of experience and is specially trained to target the ligamentous changes that occur during pregnancy.  Check out our Fetal Tours page if you’re interested in seeing the sitemap for all of our maternity services.
